I have done & experienced more in this life time than I would have thought possible had I tried to plan the path I ended up traveling. I had a healthy and active family life growing up. And I am starting to believe that is difficult to come by in todays social environment, but hope I'm wrong. I spent 5 years in the US Military and that is full of its own life's experiences. I lived, studied and worked in Asia. Lived in Hawaii for 30 years. Both experiences filled with there own story lines. I always enjoyed where ever I was for what ever those places had to offer, and what ever I could learn and give back brought about some unique opportunities and lead to some life long friendships, and a couple of not so friendly relationships. Such is life.
At age 57 I Returned to the place I grew up and never felt so at home any other place I lived. And that feeling of time and place really did catch me by surprise. The above life, experiences, mistakes and successes give me a perspective on this life we live that I hope will prove both interesting and informative.
I am always open to questions, constructive criticism, suggestions and if you like what you read, I'd love to hear about that also. I am pretty pragmatic in the way I view the things in my world, and I try to understand as many sides of a discussion or argument as I find meaningful. But I have learned that some views, ideas, opinions, judgments are just crap and to understand some of them would often require a PhD in psychology or maybe sociology at a minimum, along with a huge capacity to be tolerant of other people's bad judgement. I stopped trying to find the rationale in irrational behavior years ago.
Thanks for stopping by
I hope to get to know some of you as time goes by.
